Detailed Label Check: Genuine tires use laser etching for the brand logo, specifications, rated load, and other information on the sidewall, resulting in clear, three-dimensional lettering that cannot be scratched off. Counterfeit tires often use ordinary printing, with crooked and blurry fonts, and may even use stickers to forge production dates, which can be easily peeled off.
Traceability Verification: Genuine tires have a unique barcode on the bead, which can be scanned through the brand's official WeChat account/website for verification. Some brands also include a scratch-off anti-counterfeiting code; entering the 16-digit code confirms the product's origin. Counterfeit tires lack compliant Chinese labels and corresponding traceability records.
Packaging and Price Check: Genuine tires come with complete packaging and a third-party quality inspection report. If a product has no packaging or is priced more than 30% lower than the market average, it is highly likely to be a retreaded or counterfeit product.
Key Quality Indicators for Assessment
Initial Appearance Screening: High-quality tires have a smooth tread without cracks or bubbles, uniform tread depth, and regular edges; inferior tires have a rough surface with burrs, inconsistent tread depth, and are prone to uneven wear and delamination under heavy loads.
Physical Performance Verification: Genuine tires have good elasticity and scratches quickly heal without leaving a mark when lightly scratched with a key; industrial solid tires should have a stable Shore A hardness of 65-85 when measured with a Shore A hardness tester. Tires that are too hard have poor shock absorption, while those that are too soft are easily deformed.
Key Parameter Compliance: Akron abrasion loss ≤ 0.15 cm/1000 rpm, tensile strength ≥ 15 MPa, deformation rate ≤ 30% after 24 hours of compression at 70℃, meeting the requirements of GB/T 2980-2014 national standard. Inferior tires have a lifespan only 1/3 that of genuine tires.
Production date verification: The four-digit number on the tire sidewall indicates the production week/year. Prioritize products manufactured within 12 months. Tires that have been in stock for more than 18 months will have naturally aged rubber and their performance will deteriorate significantly.
