The Main Types of Agricultural Tractor Tires
04.24.2026

Agricultural tractor tires are special tires designed specifically for agricultural machinery, playing the role of iron foot guardians in agricultural production. The following is an introduction to the main types of such tires:

1. R-1 (regular type): suitable for dry field operations and short distance field transportation, with deep patterns, providing good traction and self-cleaning.

2. R-2 (sugarcane and rice field type): Designed specifically for field operations with high soil moisture and muddy conditions, such as rice or sugarcane fields. Its pattern depth is at least twice that of R-1, and it can effectively work in wet terrain.

3. R-3 (buoyancy type): Suitable for operations on soft sandy soil, such as sandy or marshy areas. Its tread width can reach twice that of ordinary tires, and the depth of the herringbone ultra deep pattern grooves can reach 50-80mm, forming a mud water diversion channel that can reduce the ground pressure to 0.2kg/cm2.

4. R-4 (industrial type): Suitable for agricultural engineering operations, such as farmland renovation, land leveling, etc. Its design emphasizes wear resistance and load-bearing capacity.

5. PR-1 (paddy field type): Specially designed for paddy field operations, such as rice paddies. It adopts a paddy field pattern and has good traction and self-cleaning performance.

6. CR-1 (tillage type): Suitable for field tillage, weeding, and harvesting operations. It has a narrow tire cross-sectional width and a large wheel rim diameter, with adjustable ground clearance to adapt to crops of different growth stages.
